Anchor Gold and Currency Trust

In the early 1980s, we launched a family of mutual funds under the Anchor name. One of these was the Anchor Gold & Currency Trust, focusing on precious metals and currencies. This fund included investments in gold, silver bullion, mining shares, and related securities. It operated as part of a U.S. Registered Investment Company and traded on the Midwest Stock Exchange during the 1980s.

Universal Gold Limited

In 1990, we introduced Universal Gold Ltd., giving clients, especially a large European institution, an efficient way to allocate gold in various investment structures. Since then, Universal Gold has provided a secure and cost-effective method for investors to own gold bullion without taking physical delivery.

We created Universal Gold to let investors participate in the gold bullion market through equity ownership. Each share represents a proportional interest in the company’s unencumbered gold bullion holdings. From the beginning, we incorporated Universal Gold as an International Business Company in the British Virgin Islands. We securely store its gold bullion in the vaults of The Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto, Canada.

Our partnership with The Bank of Nova Scotia was a key part of our corporate history. Universal Gold remained listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange for over 10 years. In 2002, we chose to de-list the company, maintaining it as a private corporation.

Founded in September 2009, Strategic Gold focuses on protecting the purchasing power of our clients’ assets and positioning them for profit during systemic disruptions. Our extensive experience shows that high-risk paper assets cannot match the security and value appreciation of physical gold and silver.
